I like the ambience in the piece. the colours playing off the somber tone. It seems at once tragic, yet in an odd way serene. Maybe a bad choice of words, but it has that defining moment quality. Like the end of this phase is the beginning of another. I do not know anything about 3d modelling, and I'm only just learning Photoshop, so I'm suitably impressed with your skill. I have learned though.. that the lens flare is not something I should use often.
thank you for the lesson. I wonder if you will be presenting a tutorial? This piece and many of your others indicate a fluency with your tools. I would like a solid source to refer to when I begin attempting the impossible. thanks again
every something is an echo of nothing
I saw this in your featured dev and had to comment! It is just stunning! Incredible work you did on this- I love it
The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.
Awsome enterprise model and water-texture! You should make the water-plane larger so it doesn't look like it "collide" with the stars. Oh, about the stars, add them as a speherical environment? A geosphere as a planet? Cuz it looks a bit off... That sun must light up only one part of the planet (so it looks like "the moon")... That would add to the dark lighting of the picture...
Nice lighting indeed...
Your comment on my spambox: "Is the little key on the side of the can, I can't see it?"
-What are you talking about? heh... what key? I am an angry key deviant (key-chain?) but that's all the sense i can make out of it... hehe
II Chain II
I am alittle saddened by the fact that my beloved Enterprise is meeting it's ultimate doom, man that ship rules, but this is a very sweet picture. I do agree that the lens flare may be alittle over the top, but it still looks really cool. Great Job!
that's not very original . . . if you modeled the enterprise, its a good work - but i don't think so - i downloaded this one a long time ago too . . . .
so if you use a strange model, put it in a scene which is a lil bit more impressive!!
Model and skinning is great, but the lens flare aint so cool ;D good picture anyways!
